- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 2 Tbls. Splenda (or 1/4 tsp. Stevia)
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- Combine above ingredients in blender. Serve with fruit for a nice fruit salad. If you don’t like cottage cheese – DON’T WORRY. I hate cottage cheese but love this dip. My niece Emma, loves it with sliced apples to dip. You can try adding 1 Tablespoon of coaco for a different flavor.

This is better than ground beef or ground pork pasta sauce,You have to try it to believe it.
- 1 kg or 2.2 lbs. Ground Turkey
- 2/3 cup TVP
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 cloves garlic chopped
- 1 large can of tomato sauce (I use Prego)
- 1 small can of tomato paste (i.e. Hunt’s Italian with garlic)
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. Mrs. Dash Beef grilling blend
- 1 Tablespoon Italiano spice Clubhouse
- 1 Tablespoon Mrs. Dash Basil Tomato Blend
- 1 Tablespoon Oregano
- 1 tsp. celery salt
- 4 large bay leaves
- Method: Saute onion and garlic until onions are translucent. Add turkey, dry TVP*, and spices, cook throughly. Add sauce, tomato paste and bay leaves plus 1/3 cup water from rinsing cans. Simmer slowly for at least 1 hour. Remove bay leaves before serving.
- You could use this sauce over pasta, spinach, rice, or just by itself. By adding 2 Tablespoons chili powder and beans (kidney or black soy beans), you can turn this into a great chili. You could also use this for lasagna, or any recipe which requires tomato sauce.
- *TVP - Textured Vegetable Protein – you can find this soy product in the health food department of most grocery stores. Usually TVP requires re-hydrating the flakes, but you can use it in this recipe without re-hydrating. You could also omit the turkey, and just use the TVP for a vegetarian tomato sauce.
Optional: You could add fresh vegetables (mushrooms, peppers, fresh tomatoes, celery, etc.) .

In large pan with a tight fitting lid add:
- 1 cup brown rice
- 1 purple onion
- 1 diced red potato
- 2 carrots diced
- 3 cups of water
- 3/4 cup frozen thawed peas
- 2 tsp. Mexican oregano
- 1 tsp. cumin ground
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder or 1 fresh clove minced
- 1 cube bouillon, chicken or beef
Bring to a boil, the reduce to a low simmer for 20 minutes. This makes a very tasty dish especially if you have been eating plain brown rice. We made it just like this a few times (without the potato), now we just add the spices and onion and it still tastes great. My daughter finds this a little too spicy so you can reduce the amount of spices if you like.
